What TrailCab is

A research site for weekend SUV car camping: mattresses, flat-floor tricks, window covers, packing systems, condensation control, and portable power sized for an overnight — not a van build blog or a gear dump.

Who it is for

Drivers who want to overnight in a daily RAV4, CR-V, or similar crossover: trailheads, allowed beach parking, campground pull-throughs. If you need a full kitchen or Sprinter conversion, this is the wrong site — and that is fine.

How recommendations work

  • Guides compare options with fit notes, price bands, and clear “skip if” sections.
  • We describe product categories and tradeoffs from published specs and common owner constraints — not staged “we tested 40 nights” claims.
